People Seek Tao Far Away

Not knowing how near truth is

People seek it far away – what a pity!

They are like he who, in the midst of water

Cries in thirst so imploringly

——The great zen master Hakuin

No need to leave your door to know the whole world;

No need to peer through your windows to know the Way of Heaven.

The farther you go, the less you know.

Therefore the Sage knows without going,

Names without seeing,

And completes without doing a thing.

– TAO TE CHING CHAPTER 47

This morning raining, I found the sages and great minds teaching the same;

The truth, the Tao is right with you and within you, what you are thirst for…..

This teaching really hits and echoes my heart deep, So true!

Now and here sit in silence!
