Yijinjing – one of the oldest qigong

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

Yijinjing must be the one of the oldest and most famous qigong exercises today,

although shaoling temple has been claiming that yijinjing and shaolin kung fu were founded by bodhidharma, there are not enough historical and biblical evidences.

however yijinjing has been practiced so many years in shaolin and they’ve also been teaching so many people, most of all  I think , whether of not bodhidharma made it, as a doctor and qigong practitioner that this is one of the best exercise for keeping fit and strengthening muscles and tendons, bodily structure as well that I’ve known.

Here I introduce yijinjing from the wonders of qigong.

Medical Qigong – Reconnecting the lost bond with the Source

Qigong Therapy – energy medicine is to bring the lost connection between you and Source.

Today I happened to meet my old patient in the local post office and she was there in the small pharmacy.

We were so glad to see each other unexpectedly.

And she told me her amazing experience after the last qigong secession more than a year ago.

“I have been really good until recently with a good spirit and energy, however more important thing is that now I have had the special place in me, whenever I feel tired and stressful, I can go to that place and replenish my self, this is my healing place. And I really think more people need to know and have this qigong therapy.”

The place she has is the source of the universal energy and the light and our home.

Today, most of people lost their homes, that is, the source energy and drift, there is fear and uncertainty, which causes many mental and physical problem.

And more over when people get sick mentally or physically, that is the time they got disconnected and lost.

What I do by Qi therapy is reconnect the bridge and bring the inner healing. And once you experience this, you’ll be able to remember and whenever you feel sick or imbalance, you go back to that place.

What is the Meditation?

The Power of Zazen and Its nature

When starting to practice,

Be eager like a deer trapped in a fence seeking to get out.

In the middle

Be like a farmer during harvest not waiting for anything.

In the end

Be like a shepherd who has brought the flock home.

            Paltrul Rinpoche’s sacred word

Just sitting on my old wool blanket feels so comfortable and anchored, and which seems to stop me from inner talking but make me the whole.

During this morning meditation, it just entered my mind.

“What is the meditation?”

Meditation is right here and now and present in between the heavenly energy and the earthly energy, levitation and gravitation, and yang and yin.

The levitation is moving away from the earthly energy to the space, sky tian in Chinese.

If you have too much yang qi, you might have the characteristic of the idealist and day dreamer and so on, you are the one who wants to do something spiritual, invisible, altruistic etc, not really taking care of yourself. At last what will happen to you? You will fly away to the space away from the earth.

This isn’t the state of meditation.

Then what is the gravitation, the opposite of the levitation;

You have the more yin energy in you, you are earthly, material, practical, more self-oriented, well-organized. So you don’t really look up to the heaven but well grounded to the earth di in Chinese where you stand now.

This isn’t the state of meditation either!!!

In ‘Meditation’, you are well balanced, there is no deviation and you are you as you are.

That is zhongyong, the number 1 virtue of Confucianism.

This is non-doing and suchness, wuwei in tao te ching.

Therefore you sit and taste non-taste of peace.
